My name is Emily. I am a loved child of God, wife, mother of 2, Doula, Lactation Consultant, and lover of all things related to birth, breastfeeding, and mothering. Serving  and loving women and their growing families was a fire lit in my heart by God long ago.   I love meeting women where they are and walking beside them as they come into their power and get to know themselves. I believe in helping women find their confidence, assisting them in achieving their goals and wishes, and encouraging them to take back their body, their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and claim it as their own as they were created to do, to believe and trust in their perfectly created selves.  I believe in nourishing the mother as well as the child, because in this the whole family can thrive.  I began as a nurse, but after the birth of my first child in 2013 I decided to continue my education by becoming a Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I continued to work as an OB nurse and Lactation consultant in my local hospital, but I longed to have a more intimate and long term relationship with the women I served.   I felt God calling me down a new path, as a doula. So I sought training with Birth Arts International in 2017, and am continuing my training further with BAI. I have been blessed to witness many births, and I am always amazed at the strength of women and in awe of God's perfect creation.   Birth Works! Breastfeeding Works! Each day I learn to trust and surrender a little more, and I hope to encourage other women to trust and believe in themselves as well.
